About Therapy

First Session

During the first session, we will get to know each other and discover the things you want to address in therapy. There will be paperwork and I will answer any questions you have regarding therapy and set goals you want to achieve in therapy. And we will begin to establish a rapport, creating a safe space for you to share openly.

Therapeutic Approach

I draw from evidence-based approaches—including cognitive, behavioral, mindfulness-based, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed practices—to create a supportive, affirming space where your story is seen and respected.

This can look like learning to reframe unhelpful thoughts, practicing grounding and nervous-system regulation, building mindful awareness of triggers, and developing self-compassion.

We’ll set clear goals together, move at a pace that feels right, and check in regularly about what’s working so you always feel in charge of your healing process.

Sessions

Sessions are usually scheduled for once a week. However, as you move through therapy sessions can be scheduled every two weeks or once a month for maintenance as needed.

Length of Therapy

Length of therapy the time spent in therapy is up to the client. You can leave and return as needed. As with all things, the more time and effort you invest, the greater your return.
